Singapore Management University: SMU Leadership Symposium 2019
SMU LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM 2019
SINGAPORE MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY
11 DECEMBER 2019

Third year running and going strong! For SMU Leadership Symposium 2019, we worked with the theme "Sow, Sprout, Soar". We adapted and facilitated a fun workshop for 50+ students around Unlocking Your Creative Potential in the face of challenges. This time I was also part of a panel discussion around leadership.
In a world that's constantly evolving and full of surprises, it has become apparent that creativity is key in building and executing solutions that could make a real difference. Leveraging research into Graham Wallasโ pioneering The Creative Process in his book, Art of Thought (1926) and James Webb Youngโs A Technique for Producing Ideas (1939) as well as neuroscience around creativity, participants experienced a new and practical model for creativity. This session incorporated personal sharing, exploration of existing models and hands-on activities to understand this original model. The room was filled with laughter, intimate conversation and actionable plans!
