As part of the Somerset Belt Masterplan to invigorate the area with youth energy, Somerset Dialogues was conceptualised as a series of events to:

Showcase spaces, experiences and stakeholders within the Somerset area
Expose youths to new perspectives around relevant topics we defined after surveying more than 250 youth (arts & design, social impact, technology etc)
Facilitate both physical and virtual learning, connection and ideation

In making sure Somerset Dialogues would be youth-driven and relevant experiences, my team and I recruited youth ambassadors, designed workshops to engage them in conducting a social media audit, youth survey and community mapping exercise. This helped us to really understand the assets, gaps and opportunities within the Somerset Belt before we moved to conceptualise and facilitate the series of 6 engagement events.
